Sleeping in the Ground
Sleeping in the Ground by Peter Robinson, a 2017 McClelland & Stewart hardcover with dust jacket. This Canadian edition has a complete number line indicating a first printing and is flat signed by Peter Robinson on the title page, without a visible dedication.
The twenty-fourth Inspector Banks novel begins with a deadly attack on a wedding party outside a Yorkshire church. Although the apparent gunman is quickly identified, Alan Banks remains troubled by unanswered questions and follows the evidence into a complicated web of forensic clues, psychological motives and secrets rooted in the past.
Sleeping in the Ground won the 2018 Arthur Ellis Award for Best Novel from Crime Writers of Canada. It is a notable entry in Robinson’s long-running police-procedural series and offers an appealing combination of an award-winning title, first printing and author signature.
The book is in Very Good condition overall, with minor handling and edge wear to the dust jacket. A “JAN - 2019” timestamp is present on the top page edge. Please review all photos carefully, as they form part of the description and show the actual copy being offered.
