Unquenchable

by Natalie MacLean

Unquenchable: A Tipsy Quest for the World's Best Bargain Wines by Canadian wine writer and accredited sommelier Natalie MacLean. Published by Doubleday Canada in 2011, this hardcover is a first edition, first printing, with the complete number line ending in 1 and the original illustrated dust jacket.

MacLean combines wine education, travel writing, humour and personal encounters with winemakers in a globe-spanning search for bottles offering excellent quality without luxury-level prices. Along the way, she explores wine regions, personalities, food pairings and practical ways to discover lesser-known grapes and good-value producers. Unquenchable received the 2012 Taste Canada Gold Award in the English-language Culinary Narratives category.

This copy is flat signed by Natalie MacLean in blue ink on the title page. It also includes a printed Wine Smart Course welcome note/card signed “Natalie,” referring to the recipient’s personal copy of the book and participation in the course.

The book and dust jacket are in Very Good condition. Light jacket edge and corner wear and a small light mark near the upper-left portion of the front jacket are visible. The dust jacket is now protected by clear removable plastic. The photographed interior areas appear clean, while the accompanying signed course material is included as shown. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
