The Peace: A Warrior’s Journey by Roméo Dallaire with Jessica Dee Humphreys, published by Random House Canada in 2024. This is the hardcover first edition and first printing, identified by the complete 10-to-1 number line, and includes its original dust jacket.

Drawing upon Dallaire’s military career, command of the United Nations mission in Rwanda and later humanitarian work, the book examines the causes and changing character of conflict while arguing for a more lasting and inclusive understanding of peace. Dallaire is also the Governor General’s Literary Award-winning author of Shake Hands with the Devil.

This copy is personally inscribed “To Emily,” signed by Roméo Dallaire on the title page and dated 27 Oct 2024. The inscription appears to include a military-rank notation. The copy is signed by Dallaire only and is personalized rather than flat signed.

Very Good overall, with very minor age-related page toning as disclosed by the seller and light visible handling or edge wear to the dust jacket. The dust jacket is now housed in a removable clear plastic protective cover. The photographed interior page appears clean, though it represents only the portion shown.
