The Dolphin's Tooth: A Decade in Search of Adventure by Bruce Kirkby, published in 2005 by McClelland & Stewart. This is the first edition, first printing hardcover, identified by the complete number line beginning with 1, and includes its photographic dust jacket.

Kirkby's illustrated travel memoir looks back on years of demanding expeditions and wilderness journeys around the world. The volume combines adventure writing with numerous vivid colour photographs, including scenes from Belize, western China, Iceland, Hong Kong, Bhutan and the Tatshenshini-Alsek region.

This copy is personally inscribed to Eric in red ink and signed by Bruce Kirkby, with a small smiley face. Portions of the handwritten message are difficult to decipher, but the author's signature is clearly present.

The book and dust jacket are in Very Good condition according to the seller. The jacket is now housed in a removable clear plastic protective cover. The representative interior spread photographed appears clean and bright, with clear text and colourful images and no obvious stains, tears, foxing or significant toning visible on those pages.
