Run Towards the Danger
A signed first edition, first printing of Run Towards the Danger: Confrontations with a Body of Memory by Canadian filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor Sarah Polley. Published in hardcover by Hamish Hamilton, an imprint of Penguin Canada, in 2022, this copy has the complete 10-to-1 number line and includes its dust jacket.
Polley has flat signed the title page, with no personalized inscription visible. The front dust jacket retains its circular Signed by Author sticker, making this an appealing copy for collectors of Canadian literature, memoir, and film-related books.
This acclaimed memoir-in-essays brings together six autobiographical pieces examining memory, the body, childhood performance, difficult experiences, childbirth, and Polley's recovery from a concussion. The book became a number-one bestseller and won the 2022 Toronto Book Award; it was also shortlisted for the 2023 Kobo Emerging Writer Prize.
The seller grades the copy very good. The supplied photographs show the dust jacket present with light minor handling or edge wear, intact photographed title and copyright pages, and the author's signature. The Signed by Author sticker is affixed to the front jacket. The book will be carefully packaged to help protect it in transit.
