Juno: Canadians at D-Day, June 6, 1944
Juno: Canadians at D-Day, June 6, 1944 by Ted Barris, with a foreword by military historian John Keegan. This illustrated Canadian military history examines Canada’s participation in the Normandy landings, combining the broader story of the Juno Beach assault with the experiences and recollections of servicemen, families, civilians, and correspondents connected to D-Day.
Published by Thomas Allen Publishers in 2004, this hardcover is the third printing of the original edition and includes its illustrated dust jacket. The book contains photographs and other illustrative material, along with bibliographical references and an index.
This is an unusual multi-signed commemorative copy. A preliminary page contains numerous blue-ink signatures and handwritten remembrance messages, including a visible date of June 6/04. The individual signers cannot be reliably identified from the supplied photographs, and the copy is therefore not represented as definitively author-signed.
Very Good overall as described by the seller, with light visible wear around the dust-jacket edges and corners. Faint ink show-through or offsetting from the signed material is visible on an adjacent page. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and document the signatures, edition details, and condition of the actual copy offered.
