Narcopolis
Signed and personally inscribed softcover copy of Narcopolis by Jeet Thayil, published by Faber and Faber. The inscription appears on the title page in blue ink and is dated 2013; portions of the recipient’s name and message are difficult to read.
Thayil’s debut novel follows the changing world surrounding an opium den in Old Bombay, moving across several decades and through a cast drawn from the city’s poets, addicts, dealers, gangsters and marginalized communities. Its lyrical, dreamlike portrayal of Bombay’s underworld earned the novel a place on the shortlist for the 2012 Man Booker Prize.
This is the 2013 Faber paperback associated with ISBN 9780571275786. It is in Very Good condition as graded by the seller. There is no dust jacket, and the illustrated cover is now protected by a clear removable plastic cover. The photographed exterior retains bright colour and appears intact, with minor handling or shelf wear consistent with the grade.
Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and show the actual copy being offered.
