Spoiled Brats
Spoiled Brats: Stories by Simon Rich, published by Little, Brown and Company in October 2014. This hardcover is a first edition and first printing, confirmed by the explicit first-edition statement and complete 10-to-1 number line on the copyright page. ISBN 9780316368629.
Rich’s collection uses inventive, absurdist humour to explore generational conflict, family relationships, entitlement and contemporary culture. Its stories include failing musicians, anxious parents, classroom animals and the immigrant-out-of-time tale “Sell Out,” which later inspired the film An American Pickle.
This copy has been personally inscribed and signed by Simon Rich on the title page in blue ink: “For Suzanne! Thanks so much for reading my stories! Simon.” The personalized presentation inscription distinguishes it from an unsigned copy or a flat-signed edition.
Very Good overall as graded by the seller. The hardcover retains its dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable clear plastic cover. The photographed jacket, copyright page and representative author-biography page show no prominent tears or heavy staining, and no writing is visible beyond the author’s inscription. Please review all photographs for the copy-specific appearance and details.
