Lord Black

Lord Black: The Biography by George Tombs, a 2004 illustrated hardcover biography of Canadian newspaper publisher Conrad Black. The book examines Black’s career, business ambitions, media interests and public life, placing his rise within the broader history of Canadian newspaper publishing.

This copy is signed and inscribed “Best wishes,” by author George Tombs on the title page. The front dust jacket also retains an Indigo Books Music & Café “AUTOGRAPHED” sticker. Tombs was a veteran Canadian journalist and a recipient of a 1988 Michener-Deacon Fellowship, an honour connected with public-interest journalism.

Published in Canada by BT Publishing, ISBN 0-9735491-0-6. The hardcover is accompanied by its pictorial dust jacket and includes photographic illustrations.

Very Good condition as graded by the seller, with light visible handling and minor edge or corner wear. The photographed interior pages are clean and legible, with no visible markings apart from the author’s inscription. The dust jacket is now protected in a removable clear plastic cover. The book will be packed carefully to help protect the jacket and binding in transit.
