I've Got a Home in Glory Land

作者:Karolyn Smardz Frost

A signed first-edition, first-printing hardcover of I've Got a Home in Glory Land: A Lost Tale of the Underground Railroad by historian and archaeologist Karolyn Smardz Frost. Published in Canada by Thomas Allen Publishers in 2007, this copy retains its illustrated dust jacket, which is protected in a removable clear plastic cover.

The book reconstructs the story of Thornton and Lucie Blackburn, who escaped slavery in Kentucky and eventually established new lives in Toronto. Drawing on archaeological and historical research, Frost connects their experience to the Underground Railroad, the Black community in nineteenth-century Toronto, and the broader history of slavery and resistance in North America. The book won the 2007 Governor General's Literary Award for English-language non-fiction.

This illustrated volume includes historical photographs, portraits, artwork, bibliographical references, and an index. The title page bears a personalized inscription signed by Karolyn Smardz Frost and dated 2007; this is an inscribed copy rather than a flat-signed copy.

The book has very minor page toning. The photographed interior spread appears clean, with no writing, staining, or tears visible in the area shown. The dust jacket is housed in a removable clear plastic protective cover.
