Blood Work

by Michael Connelly

Blood Work by Michael Connelly, published by Little, Brown and Company in 1998. This hardcover copy is a stated first edition and first printing, confirmed by the complete 10-to-1 number line on the copyright page. It includes the original dust jacket and is signed by Michael Connelly on the title page without a visible inscription.

This suspense novel introduces retired FBI profiler Terry McCaleb, who is recovering from a heart transplant when he is drawn into the investigation of the murder of the woman whose heart saved his life. What begins as a seemingly random crime develops into a hunt for a calculating killer. Blood Work won the Anthony Award and Macavity Award for Best Novel and France’s Grand Prix for mystery fiction, and it was later adapted as a film directed by and starring Clint Eastwood.

The dust jacket has moisture damage at the back, along with visible edge and corner wear. According to the seller, the moisture did not affect the hardcover itself. The jacket is now housed in a removable clear plastic protective cover.

A collectible signed first-edition, first-printing copy of an award-winning Michael Connelly novel, offered with its dust jacket and the disclosed jacket condition carefully noted.
