Jeffrey Simpson

Jeffrey Simpson (born February 17, 1949) is one of Canada's most decorated political journalists, authors, and public policy commentators. For over four decades, he was a defining voice at The Globe and Mail, including a legendary 32-year tenure as the newspaper's national-affairs columnist. He has published eight influential books, winning the Governor General's Award for Non-Fiction for his debut work, Discipline of Power: The Conservative Interlude and the Liberal Restoration, and the prestigious Donner Prize for Chronic Condition: Why Canada’s Health-Care System Needs to be Dragged into the 21st Century.
