Author profile

Amy Stuart

Amy Stuart is a Canadian novelist and memoir collaborator born in Toronto. She is the author of the bestselling suspense novels Still Mine, Still Water, Still Here, and A Death at the Party. The first three books follow Clare O’Dey through connected investigations, while A Death at the Party is a standalone thriller. Her publisher describes the latter as a number-one bestseller, and her novels have been optioned for screen adaptation.

Stuart co-wrote Home and Away, the memoir of Hockey Hall of Famer and former Toronto Maple Leafs captain Mats Sundin. Published in 2024, the book follows Sundin’s life in Sweden and his career in North American hockey. The publisher credits Sundin as the author, with Stuart as his collaborator. Her experience as a hockey player, coach, and Maple Leafs supporter helped connect her writing life with this project.

She completed an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia in 2012 and previously worked as a high-school educator. Alongside her books, she writes the Writerscape newsletter about developing a sustainable writing practice. Based in Toronto, she also coaches youth hockey in the Greater Toronto Hockey League.
